IRAM is looking for a project management specialist for a tender for technical assistance to a project management unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Laos (AFD /EU funds) for the GreenCUP project, targeting the development of the tea and coffee sectors in Laos. The project total budget is 13,650,000 euros and the funds are managed by AFD.
The overall objective of the project is: Enhanced quality development of coffee and tea sectors through agro-ecological community-based action, climate-resilient and inclusive value chains with a gender and human rights-based approach. It is organised around 4 specific objectives:
- SO 1: Diversified income and improved availability of and access to healthy and diverse foods, through the sustainable management of association of crops and the promotion of female-decision-making;
- SO 2: Supported research, education/training and capacity building in the coffee and tea sectors, alongside nutrition awareness;
- SO 3: Promoted higher value and enhanced-quality coffee and tea with special focus on green, climate and disaster- resilience, decent work and women economic empowerment aspects;
- SO 4: Improved governance of the coffee and tea sectors and recognition of emerging quality labels.
Education: Master’s degree in business administration, management
Qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of three works experiences records in project management and at least two experiences as Team Leader.
- Demonstrated strong background in team coordination, policy dialogue and contract management;
- Large experience (at least 3 experiences) in planning, preparation, implementation, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of projects;
- Familiar with elaborating Project documents, the logical framework and project cycle management;
- Regional experience in South East Asia is an asset;
- Experience on agriculture projects is an asset, notably the agri-value chain;
- Proficiency/fluency in written and spoken English;
- Knowledge of Lao language for the internation candidate would be an advantage.
Duration: The mobilization will start from November 2024 and will be ended 30 September 2028 (completion date for the project): 40 man-month of services
