Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Hurricane, Utah. This is an onsite based position with field projects taking place on public lands.
Department/Division: CREW Mountain West Division
Status: Salaried, Full-Time (Exempt), 10 month term
Schedule/Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/weeks with additional hours as needed. Flexible work schedule (Monday – Friday) with some adjustment expected to accommodate specific projects and program needs. Some evening and weekend hours may be occasionally required.
Reports To: Associate Director of Operations.
Preferred Start Date: February, 9 2026
Travel: Significant regional travel to support crews and projects.
Position Summary:
ACE’s Mountain West Region program operates for 9 months of the year from March to late November with young adult volunteer AmeriCorps crews completing various trail, ecological restoration, historic preservation and conservation field projects throughout the Intermountain Region of the United States. As Project Manager you will ensure that ACE crews are fully prepared and equipped with the necessary project information, supplies, transportation, and equipment prior to departing for their projects, and are responsible for overseeing quality control, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance, and perform related work as assigned.
The Project Manager position for ACE Mountain West is a hybrid office/field based position responsible for supporting ACE field crews with safely and efficiently accomplishing conservation projects. This position is a 10 month term position to coordinate and manage project implementation and directly support and train crew leaders to successfully complete various trail, environmental restoration, fencing, forestry, historic preservation and land management projects on public lands throughout the intermountain region of the United States. This position will be onboarded 4 weeks before crew members arrive to receive orientation, training and also plan and support the first round of projects. While portions of this position are field-based by working with and supporting ACE crews in the field, the Project Manager will also be responsible for preparing pre-project logistics and post-project reporting while working closely with the ACE Associate Director of Operations and project partners to ensure the safe execution of field projects.

Compensation: Starting annualized salary range of $44,000 – $48,400 (assuming 40 hours/week 44 weeks/year) depending on experience. This is a 10 month term position.

Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Time: As an ACE staff member, you will be eligible to accrue up to 80 hours of paid vacation time annually during your first two years of continuous employment, then it increases to 120 hours annually. ACE observes 13 paid annual holidays (floating holiday flexibility). ACE provides 10 days (or 80 hours) of paid sick time annually.
