Job purpose
Under the direct responsibility of the Programs Manager, SYCAC is seeking for a project manager, who will be responsible for all project implementation steps, and their technical aspects based on the work plan, including the preparation, planning, organization, coordination, and reporting. The Project Manager should guarantee a timely achievement of the project’s objectives as per the proposal, and donor compliance.
The position includes, among other responsibilities, internal and external coordination, reporting, and planning of activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing the project’s detailed implementation plan in coordination with the Direct manager.
  • Ensuring proper project implementation, adhering to the work plan, budget, and logical framework, and ensuring high quality monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensuring high quality budget management and other administrative points in accordance with policies.
  • Raising procurement requests (PRs) based on project procurement plans and coordinating with the finance and operations department to ensure procurement is received in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that capacity-building activities are conducted in a quality and timely manner so as to achieve the expected results, by providing strategic guidance to local program implementation teams
  • Advising on organizational capacity building and small grants design and implementation.
  • Full supervision of the work of the project team and commitment to the professional development of the project team, by encouraging, motivating, and providing suggestions to empower the project team.
  • Preparing periodic updates on project activities and financial updates in coordination with the financial department.
  • Preparing the necessary documents for the project, monitoring project activities, and preparing monthly and high-quality narrative reports in addition to technical reports.
  • Representing the organization in official meetings regarding the project in coordination with the direct manager.
  • Providing suggestions and recommendations to the direct manager to benefit from them in preparing proposals for new projects.
  • Conduct continuous research for projects like the project and potential donors.
  • Maintain organized files of all work, readily available upon request.
  • Adhere to SYCAC’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and child protection measures.
  • Execute any other related tasks as directed by the direct manager.

Required Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of organizational capacity building, civil society development and/or FSL.
  • Strong team management skills
  • The ability to develop operational plans, follow them up, and present creative ideas that meet the needs of society.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Arabic, especially the ability to prepare reports in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to provide support to the work team.
  • Excellent Planning and organizing skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Information technology skills: High level of proficiency in MS Office suit (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
