Job description
Our client, a manufacturer and developer of flex solutions (including cell contacting systems) for EV vehicle battery modules is currently looking to hire a Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to production launch.The Project Manager will:
- Lead cross-functional project teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the full lifecycle of the product.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that project milestones are met in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure that project requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance project delivery capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture best practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the project team.
The Project Manager will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience in project management roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to production launch.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
