  • Collaborating with integrated teams to deliver solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, scrum masters, architects, developers, and QA teams.
  • Creates an environment of continuous improvement through honest communication and regular retrospectives with the goal to surface issues/concerns and to identify clear action steps
  • Manage Test Strategy planning, test delivery schedule, and technical/user testing at all phases of product development.
  • Manage project Test planning, coordination of multiple applications for test preparedness, managing of test execution and test results.
  • Responsible for testing specific documentation and implementation of existing and new testing processes.
  • Planning and executing of the Technology development schedule for major product releases
  • Tracking status, progress and other critical metrics in relation to the plan and publishing progress reports to senior partners
  • Maintaining release and dependency plans across American Express development teams, external partners and third parties
  • Identifying and raising risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives
  • Resolving impediments precluding teams from making progress against plans
  • Ensuring deliverables across Technology teams are high-quality and clearly documented
  • Organizing and executing Pre and Post PI Planning sessions, daily stand-ups, scrum of scrums and retrospectives at the end of each planned unit of work, with a focus on continuously learning from the past
  • Finding opportunities to embrace innovative technologies and processes

Ideally the finalist should be based out of Burgess Hill. Although due to the current environment we may be willing to consider outstanding candidates in other UK locations. There will be no relocation for this role.Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the UK is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.Minimum QualificationsThis high-energy Project Manager should have:

  • A University Degree in related field and/or prior relevant Technology or business experience
  • Previous Project or Product Management experience, ideally in an Agile environment
  • Desired at least a year of technical experience in software engineering, infrastructure, operations or product delivery & system integration
  • Organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Some knowledge of internal delivery tools & a desire to deepen understanding
