You’ll be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in line with programme standards. You will be customer facing, accountable for delivery of the program and responsible for software delivery using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. The role will be supported by Programme and Portfolio ManagementLocation:Remote working with travel to customers sites and head office as requiredResponsibility & Duties:In performing the role, you will be expected to use a knowledge and experience of agile development approaches to fit complex projects with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.Your background in delivering agile projects directly will ensure that you are capable of co-ordianting across multiple teams, typically delivering a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled team. You will manage delivery requirements in line with budget able to manage risks and issues to drive quality outcomes.This role will involve extensive interaction with customers, senior stakeholders, management and third party sub-contractors. Strong analytical, organisational, and presentation skills are essential combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to manage expectations and issues effectively and establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.As well as the technical aspects of the role you will also be expected to manage agile teams on a daily basis or as required; assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity for project work; responsibility for ensuring team members track their time using the appropriate in-house system; and mentoring and developing team members. Possess the knowledge, skills and gravitas needed to be effective in the project and business and to make decisions that accomplish strategic objectives.A key part of your role will be collaborating with the developers on the programme. You will require a sufficient level of technical background to provide leadership to teams and to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.You will have an understanding of software development life cycle models as well as good knowledge of agile project management principles, practices and experience overseeing multi-function project teams, including developers, testers and business analysts.You will have the skills and ability to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encouraging a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team.Responsibilities:

  • Experience and capabilities to design and delivery a project on time, to cost and with high quality
  • Sufficient gravitas and experience to lead a project team and maintain sufficient communications across all stakeholders
  • Design, plan and manage backlog using AGILE frameworks
  • Build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, especially those external to NCR
  • Work with Release Mgr., SCRUM teams, CPO etc to ensure successful AGILE delivery of backlog
  • Liaise closely with the customer to identify pain points and opportunities in order to drive revenue and most importantly customer satisfaction
  • Prepares weekly PSR/ client status reports
  • Lead weekly project status update meetings with the Client Project Manager and internal teams
  • Manage program budget and resource allocations and maintain them
  • Identifies and proactively manages and resolves project Risks, Issues and dependencies, recording at all times in a RAID log
  • Motivate, coach, support and direct project delivery teams in AGILE as required
  • Oversee end to end delivery of backlog including QA & test approach
  • Present to stakeholders, reports on progress and accountable for issue resolutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the project allowing NCR to receive the tangible business value and meet the business objectives identified for the Program

Qualification and Skills:

  • Project Management Certification preferred (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or equivalent)
  • Agile Frameworks, Dev/Ops, CI/ID SAFe or similar experience
  • Experience of changing delivery models
  • 2+ years of successful demonstrated Project Management, Scrum Master experience with complex Customers
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with NCR and client senior executives
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrable business leadership experience
  • Domain experience within IT, Retail, both in store and digitally.
  • Ability to motivate IT Staff
