​My client are an internationally recognized renewable energy company with deep roots in the German market. As specialists in large-scale wind energy projects, they combine local expertise with global experience to drive the energy transition forward.The RoleThey are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the permitting and approval processes for major onshore wind developments. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle – from early-stage development through to approval – with a particular focus on projects located in Western and North-Eastern Germany.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate all aspects of wind project development, including site selection, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory approvalsDevelop and manage project timelines, budgets, and risk assessmentsLiaise with local authorities, consultants, landowners, and internal teamsEnsure compliance with all relevant German and EU environmental and planning regulationsProvide clear reporting and documentation to senior management and investorsCollaborate closely with technical, legal, and commercial teams across the organizationConduct occasional site visits and meetings at our Berlin officeRequirementsProven experience managing renewable energy development projects, ideally in windStrong understanding of German permitting and approval processes (BImSchG, etc.)Fluency in German (C1 level or higher) and good working knowledge of EnglishExceptional organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and remotely, with strong team collaborationWillingness to travel occasionally within Germany, including to Berlin officeWhat We OfferA dynamic and supportive team in a mission-driven, international companyFlexible, remote work setup tailored to your location in West or North-East GermanyMeaningful projects that make a real difference in the energy landscapeCompetitive salary and benefits
