Manager to join the business based in the South East of England.

The role in a nutshell

As a Project Manager in the Capital Works team, you will be responsible for delivering habitat
creation and enhancement safely, on-time and to budget. This is an exciting role for a
forward-thinking Project Managers where you would work closely with our ecologists and land
managers to plan and deliver habitat creation works across your region. Works would include
woodland and scrub planting, species rich grassland establishment, wetland creation, fencing
and other facilitating works.

More about the role

  • Working alongside EB ecologists and land managers as part of ‘project teams’ with
    responsibility for the delivery of sites.
  • Supporting the procurement and awarding of works to suitable vetted Contractors.
  • Associated management of delivery partners.
  • Ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are met and safety standards on site are
    exemplary.
  • Ensuring works are completed to the highest quality, to an agreed timescale which sits with
    the agricultural calendar, and within the budgets set.
  • Undertaking quality audits.
  • Maintaining high quality relationships with landowners, their contractors, and other
    stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all relevant legislation and regulations are complied with.

You will be working remotely but as part of a regional team supporting delivery of the
projects. Your time will be spent as a mixture of on-site and then home based, with
associated travelling. Please note this role is based in the South East of England.

Your role will form part of the Land Team – so you will be joining a team of Land Managers and
other Project Managers covering across the country. Meeting with colleagues on site will be
part of your regular responsibilities alongside in person regional team meetings and whole
business meet ups alternating on a quarterly basis. There will also be the opportunity to
co-work with regional colleagues in shared working spaces.

Requirements

  • A formal Agricultural/Landscaping/Environmental degree
  • A track record of delivering environmental and/or agricultural projects.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH
  • CSCS or landscaping equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work as part of team.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Good financial skills in budget setting, cost management and forecasting.
