Safe Passage Fund is hiring a Project Manager (Co-Lead) for 30 hours/week. The position starts in May or June 2025, and is initially limited to one year with the desire for extension. This position will be compensated circa. 3.000 Euro gross monthly for 30 hours/week. We work remotely with flexible hours, although if based in Berlin, a hybrid office schedule (welcome to dogs!) is possible.
This position is only available to those with the right to work in Germany.

We are an emergent women* and activist-led intermediary fund that resources grassroots movements to dismantle the harmful impacts of Europe’s migration enforcement regime and build collective power for societies of solidarity and holistic belonging. We consist of a participatory activist and women* board with decision-making over grantmaking, a cohort of voluntary advisors, and a passionate small paid team, currently being our project manager and our project support.
We’re in an exciting moment of growth, development and transformation which will inform the coming years of our work. Originally born spontaneously from a crowdfunder in late 2019, we’ve now pivoted towards a model of engaging with progressive philanthropy, and our aim is to continue in this direction. Our work currently includes the following lines:
Fund+: We liberate resources through strategic grants to grassroots grantee partners advancing migrant justice in Europe.
Hub: We build capacity and accompany our partners by virtually convening them several times a year with external trainers and cross-border skill-sharing.
Advocacy: We synthesize and present our learnings in various forms, advocating for increased values-aligned, grassroots-centric and participatory funding within the philanthropic field.
As project manager (co-lead), you will play a leading, dynamic and engaged role in the operational work and relationship-holding of Safe Passage Fund to enhance our social change impact and upgrade major donor prospects.

Can you share an example of a time when you successfully collaborated with a diverse team? What challenges did you encounter, and how did you ensure effective communication and inclusivity in your approach?
