We are looking to recruit a passionate and solution focussed Project Manager of our new Lavina’s Legacy Skills of the Past for the Future program, to promote volunteer
and community engagement.
The Project Manager position is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday- Friday
including some weekends, located at Celtic Harmony Camp, Brickendon Lane, Hertfordshire SG13
8NY with flexibility for remote working.
As the Project Manager, you will have expertise in working with partners to raise
the profile of Celtic Harmony Camp and reach new volunteer audiences and develop new
opportunities. You will have line management duties and will be responsible for representing
Celtic Harmony with a variety of organisations and in a range of community settings.
You will develop Lavina’s Legacy and be confident in building relationships with external
organisations, Celtic Harmony directors and other senior team members in order to successfully
recruit and retain conservation volunteers and education trainees. You will supervise the
development of volunteers including induction, training, monitoring and oversee mentoring,
impact measurement and project budget. The Heritage Ranger will report to you and will assist
with the day-to-day coordination of volunteer activity and mentoring.
We’re looking for an individual who is self-motivated and a good problem solver with solution
focussed approach, experience in volunteer project management and working in the third sector,
with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire others.
Celtic Harmony has 25 years’ experience, providing formal and informal education opportunities
to work with natural materials in a Prehistory settlement located in native woodland. The
charity aims to improve the well-being of children, young people and adults through an emotive
experience, creating a more sustainable future in harmony with the natural world. Celtic
Harmony holds the Learning Outside the Classroom Badge for the high quality of outdoor
education and is the UK School Trips 2023 Education Team of the Year.
