About SEED Foundation: SEED Foundation is a registered NGO in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. SEED’s mission is to protect, empower, and support the recovery of survivors of violence and others at risk. SEED is committed to delivering high quality, holistic approaches, which combine international expertise and local know-how to achieve results for the people of Iraq and Kurdistan Region. SEED’s programming focuses on three key objectives: 1) the delivery of transformational, comprehensive services including case management, mental health, and legal services, as well as psychosocial support activities; 2) strengthening the capacity of service providers through education, training, and capacity-development programs; and 3) promoting policy and social change to strengthen the rights of, and protections for, vulnerable groups and individuals through public awareness, technical assistance, and advocacy.

Role of the Project Manager: The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the implementation of SEED’s GBV program in the KRI. The PM leads the planning, documentation, and implementation of activities over the projects managed. The PM may also need to represent SEED with other organizations, and governmental stakeholders, including NGO partners to support the team with the implementation program activities.
Upholding SEED’s mission, objectives, core values, and guiding principles and ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all clients and staff are mandatory for every new SEED member. The PM is responsible for coordinating and implementing daily management of program activities and program staff, ensuring appropriate systems and support mechanisms are in place to track, analyze and report on results.
Specific Tasks:
Project Management & Implementation 50%
Stakeholder Engagement, Coordination, and Sub-Award Management 30%
Foster effective relationships with government authorities, NGOs, and other key stakeholders to enhance service delivery, coordination, and collaboration. Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholder engagement to ensure mutual understanding and alignment with project goals.
Oversee the full lifecycle of sub-awards, including selection, coordination, and implementation, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and SEED’s policies.
Monitor both the financial and programmatic performance of sub-awardees, providing timely feedback and support to address any issues.
Conduct regular monitoring activities, including site visits, desk reviews, and progress assessments to ensure sub-awardees meet their deliverables and maintain high-quality standards. Develop and utilize tools and indicators to assess progress, impact, and compliance.
Organize and facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to promote engagement, strengthen coordination, and support project objectives. Actively participate in coordination forums, sharing updates and gathering insights to inform project strategies.
Provide ongoing technical and administrative support to sub-awardees to ensure their activities align with the project’s objectives, timelines, and standards. Troubleshoot challenges and collaborate on solutions to optimize implementation and impact.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting on sub-award performance, challenges, and achievements. Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future collaboration and program outcomes.
