The project manager will closely monitor and track the project expenditures to ensure that the allocations are utilized in accordance with IRCs financial SOP.
She will make sure that the procurements are planned and coordinated with the supply chain unit to avoid any delay in the materials delivery to the field/partner offices.
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations.
Monitoring progress and ensuring that project milestones are achieved within the designated timeframe and budget for IRC’s 4 national implementing partners on the GPE project.
The PM will support the SPM to ensure that all partners are capacity build continuously to be able to meet the objectives of the GPE project.
She will track the work progress and will report any challenges to the Senior Manager or the program management unit to address them immediately.
She will assist the program coordinator with updating the project progress and briefing.
The Project Manager will work closely with project teams coordinating their efforts, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support as needed.
She will also be responsible for identifying and managing project risks, proactively addressing issues, and implementing measures to mitigate any potential challenges.
The Project Manager priority will be building an effective communication among project stakeholders.
She will ensure that all relevant parties are well-informed and engaged throughout the project’s lifecycle.
The Program Manager will collaborate with the MEAL team to establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
They use data and feedback to inform decision-making and improve project effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting the GPE implementation for IRC’s 4 implementing partners in 5 provinces.
Supporting the Senior Program Manager to ensure that IRC’s 4 national partners supported and capacity build to able to be on track with progress against targets, and that mitigation plans are developed with partners to course correct.
Supporting reports and written updates to the program coordinator.
Supporting implementing partners to be provided with the technical and implementation support required to deliver GPE programming at provincial level.
Supporting project management related capacity building for IRC’s 4 national GPE partners
Supporting strong monitoring and evaluation of targets for IRC’s 4 national implementing partners
Support and coordinate partners review meetings for them to exchange best practice and the PM will document the learning to enhance quality and effectiveness of the project.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 to 5 years of project management experience in the education or familiar programming in Afghanistan.
Experience with capacity building support for national partners in program management.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree is preferable.
Experience with community-based education and education formal system support.
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari, and English.
Wiling to travel and conduct field visits regularly.
