ABOUTDIGITALEQUALIZERPROGRAM

DigitalEqualizerisAIF’sflagshipeducationprogram.DEenvisionsaworldwhereallchildrenfromunder-servedcommunities,especially girls, are prepared for a career and life. The program is bridging India’s digital divide by providing and integratingtechnologyintounderperforming,under-resourcedpublicschools,trainingteachersintechno-pedagogyandSTEM(Science,Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactiveplacesforstudentstolearnwhilepreparingthemforsuccessinthe21stcenturyglobaleconomy.Sinceitsinceptionin2004,the Program has empowered 7.25 million children with interactive STEM experiences, trained 212,585 teachers in STEMpedagogy,andtransformed32,596schoolsacross35 statesandunionterritoriesofthecountry.

ABOUTPROJECT

Astheschoolsarevulnerabletoavarietyofcybersecuritythreats,includingdatabreaches,phishingscams,socialengineering attacks, etc. In this project of ours, we are working towards bridging this gap and provide cyber securityawareness to Government school students in 4 states of India (Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu) andreaching out to 1500 schools. The project aims to provide cybersecurity awareness within government schools, therebyfosteringasaferdigitalenvironmentforstudents,teachersandschools.TheProjectwillnotonlyhelpaddresstheimmediatechallengesfaced bycyber threatsbutalsocreateafoundationforamoreequitableandinclusivedigitalfuture.

TheProjectOfficerwillbethekeyfocalpointofcontactfortheclustersandwouldreporttotheProjectLead.

Theresponsibilitiesinclude,butarenotlimitedto:

  • Ensuretheprogramisimplementedaspertheapprovedplanand budget.
  • MonitortheimplementationoftheDE’programwithregularfieldvisitstoschools,districtoffices,andother stakeholders.
  • Monthlyfieldvisit(minimum15 daysamonth)andmore,dependingupontheprogramrequirements.
  • The field monitoring will (include but is not limited to) guiding and anchoring communication with the programstakeholders,preparingprogramplanincoordinationwiththefieldteam,monitorimplementationoftheprogramas per the plan, and provide feedback to the Project lead and regional managers on programmatic progress andoutputs.
  • Monitoringandreportingshallinvolvethemonthlycollectionofandmanagementofdatatoenhanceprogrammaticandfinancialoutput.
  • TheProjectOfficershallcoordinatewithconcernedteammembersonaregularbasistoensureprogramactivitiesareimplementedaspertheAIP,willplan, implementandmonitor activitiesinthefield.
  • TheProjectOfficerwillsupportbudgetexercisesaspertheprogramrequirementsanddonorreporting.
  • ProjectOfficerwillberesponsiblefordocumentationwhichinvolvespreparingreports,compilingcasestudies/storiesfromthefield,leadthe baseline,mid-termandend-termevaluations,etc.onaregularbasis.
  • Ensuredonorobligationsforreportingaremetasper theprescribedtimelines.
  • Maintainprofessionalintegrityandethicalconductofworkingat alltimes.
  • AnyotherworkasassignedbytheProjectLead.

 

REQUIREDKEYSKILLS,QUALIFICATION&EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-graduation,withspecializationinsocialentrepreneurshiporcommunicationordevelopmentmanagementoreconomicsor businessstudiespreferred.
  • Minimum05yearsofexperience-eitherasaleadteammemberinasocialenterpriseand/ornon-profitorganizationand/or eco-systembuilding.
  • Strongpersonaldemonstrablecommitmentto“serve”thosewhoareunderprivileged.
  • HighpersonalIntegrity.
  • StrongPowerPointpresentationdesign&deliveryskills.
  • ExcellentEnglishskills–writtenandverbal.
