Capital Works Projects team are a dedicated division within Property Management, set up, to deliver all strategic, multi discipline, capital project works across the Camden property portfolio.How You’ll Be InvolvedAs the M&E Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of collaboration with the Programme Manager, overseeing and executing designated projects in the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors. The annual project portfolio under your watch ranges from £4 million to £10 million, emphasizing the gravity of your responsibilities.Your role extends to the meticulous management of district heating system upgrades, spearheading lift replacement programs, and overseeing door entry systems replacements and electrical upgrades. Notably, the focus is on projects within the social housing sector, requiring a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of these environments.Success in this role hinges on a deep comprehension of both the technical and social dimensions of M&E projects. Your experience in social housing is crucial to navigating the intricacies of these projects and ensuring their successful outcomes. A comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety legislation, compliance, and the practical application of CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations is imperative. Your proficiency should extend to leaseholder management, encompassing consultation processes and service charge arrangements, particularly pivotal for projects within residential sectors like social housing.A thorough knowledge of procurement processes, specifically those pertinent to construction activities, repairs, and maintenance services, with a specialized focus on M&E systems, is a prerequisite. Your capabilities should include expertise in energy efficiency and sustainability modelling, integrating M&E perspectives to underscore renewable technologies. Familiarity with ISO, British and PAS Standards, and Building Regulations is essential to uphold best practices and model risks associated with sustainable construction. This entails a specific emphasis on renewable energy technologies such as solar photovoltaic systems and heat pumps, ensuring projects not only meet but surpass prevailing standards for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability in the M&E field.We expect a commitment to service excellence and a proven track record in positive resident engagement. Additionally, familiarity with the management of design and specialist team professionals is crucial.
