About this Position

Be You invites you to join us on a 12-month parental leave contract as a Project Manager – Performance & Monitoring, where your expertise will be critical to measuring key outcomes for learning communities across Australia.
Be You is the national mental health in education initiative, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care and delivered by Beyond Blue, in collaboration with Early Childhood Australia and headspace.
At Be You, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving mental health outcomes in education. Your contributions will directly impact our strategic direction and continuous improvement of the initiative.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead key evaluation projects, collaborate with passionate professionals and stakeholders, and see the tangible results of your efforts.
The role
Your Responsibilities
- Lead projects including Be You’s Evaluation.
- Support the development and delivery of Be You’s Performance & Monitoring framework.
- Work closely with Beyond Blue’s Research and Evaluation team to align activities with organisational outcomes.
- Oversee procurement activities, manage service providers, and ensure deliverables meet our high standards.
- Utilise project management methodologies to ensure clear communication, timely delivery, and scope adherence.
- Provide support to enhance performance monitoring capabilities across Be You teams.
- Translate research insights into actionable recommendations, advocating for systemic change and demonstrating Be You’s impact.
- Support evaluation and reporting requirements for our funding bodies.
- Engage with various groups across Be You’s partner organisations to support design, implement evaluation and research initiatives.
About you
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline focusing on research, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Experience in overseeing contracts and procurement processes.
- An understanding of outcomes monitoring system development and implementation.
- Familiarity with program and policy evaluation, with the ability to contribute research and evaluation expertise to cross-functional projects.
- Understanding of processes and systems for translating research findings into practical applications.
- Ability to communicate complex research findings to non-research audiences effectively.
- Strong self-management skills with a collaborative approach to building a high-performing team.
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills, with the flexibility to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in mental health in education is a plus.
