Quit is located within the Prevention Division and is a joint initiative of Cancer Council Victoria, the Victorian Department of Health and VicHealth. Quit is dedicated to ending the tobacco toll with four priority areas: preventing new nicotine addictions, supporting people who smoke to become tobacco free, creating a tobacco-free environment, and enhancing and tailoring efforts to help priority populations become tobacco free.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Project Manager – Quitline to provide project management oversight and support to deliver multiple projects associated with the Quitline expansion program, including managing timelines, risks, human resources and budgets in order to achieve agreed outputs and outcomes.

The position will report to the Quitline Manager and will work across Quit teams and with researchers in Cancer Council’s Behavioural Sciences Division. The role will be a central liaison point for both internal and external collaborators, including state and territory health departments and other Quitline service providers.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in project management and/or proven experience managing complex projects and administrative operations.
  • High level stakeholder management skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial objectives.
  • High level organisational skills including the ability to coordinate multiple partnerships and projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and experience developing high quality presentations and reports.
