RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Under the supervision of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Lung Regenerative Medicine Chairholder, the project manager will facilitate all aspects of the activities of the lung regenerative medicine research program, including financial, scientific, and administrative. The project manager will act as the day-to-day facilitator between the research team, its academic and industrial collaborators, its partners, RI-MUHC administration, and McGill University administration.
General Duties
• Work closely with the Chairholder to organize, manage, and coordinate the research program and act as the primary point of contact and resource person for the research program, including all team members,
• Maintain strong working relationships with team members, manage communication channels, and coordinate tracking of all aspects of the team’s research activities for reporting purposes,
• Manage and implement the regulatory, funding, budgetary, human resources, and infrastructure elements of the research program,
• Oversee internal and external communications and reporting activities including finances, grants, policies, and key performance metrics,
• Participate in the implementation of the research program and optimize organizational and operational efficiency.
Education / Experience
Education: Doctorate Degree
Field of Study: Health sciences, engineering or other related field
Work Experience: Direct work experience in health science or engineering research. Experience in administration considered an asset. Experience with staff supervision and budget oversight considered an asset.

• Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
• Experience in project management and/or research coordination with proven leadership skills in scientific research environment,
• Excellent organizational skills,
• Strong problem-solving skills.
Additional information
Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $52,998.40 – $98,425.60, commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: Monday – Friday
