The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Technology Rationalisation to join our family. Reporting to the Enterprise Architect and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role willl be responsible for managing the rationalisation process for technology products and services.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Planning: Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and schedules. Work with team members to ensure tasks are clearly defined and deadlines are understood.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and project managers. Ensure that all relevant parties are informed about project updates, changes, and progress.
  • Change management support – working with stakeholders to assist team members with onboarding and offboarding of rationalised/selected applications.
  • Analysis: Collect, analyse, and share information to support developing common understanding and enable informed decision making.
  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans. Organise and store project documents in a systematic and accessible manner.

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children’s Check
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant area
  • 5+ years of project management.
  • Experience delivering projects with an IT focus, working in complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Good listening and strong general communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
