THE OPPORTUNITY

Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. will implement a three-year project entitled:  Uniting Against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC): Multistakeholder Collaborations for a Safer Digital Space.

This intervention aims to protect 1,000 children in all their diversities from online sexual exploitation. The project will be implemented in Manila; Dasmarinas, Cavite; and, Llorente, Eastern Samar. The project is divided into two major outcomes: (1) Strengthened capacity of children and young people to effectively protect themselves and their peers and take collective action against online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC) and online violence; and (2) Enhanced protection systems for children and young people from OSAEC in homes, schools and digital spaces, with survivor-centered approaches supported to strengthen public and private efforts in preventing, mitigating, and responding to OSAEC.

In line with this project, we invite competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position. 

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing the project implementation to ensure it is completed timely and within the budget. She/He will closely coordinate with the project team and partners in planning, monitoring, and evaluating the project activities for achieving the goals, outcomes, and outputs stipulated in the approved proposal. She/He will be responsible for liaising both internally with other units and externally to ensure proper coordination and implementation of the project, especially in complementing and aligning other similar initiatives of the organization.  Further, the project manager will provide support for technical oversight of all components of the project, by working closely with project partners and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

Further, as the Project Manager:

  • You will coordinate and supervise all activities, resources, and assets for the project under supervision.
  • You will support the project team, country consortium partners, and international alliance partners to ensure a detailed implementation plan is developed and implemented.
  • You will prepare periodic reports on the implementation of project activities.
  • You will work closely with child online protection stakeholders, tech partners, telecoms, private sectors, government, and CSOs and develop partnerships to leverage resources and strengthen advocacy efforts.
  • You will assist and facilitate regularly scheduled reviews of the project with the project team, consortium, and alliance partners.
  • Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities in your assigned covered areas. 

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

  • University degree in social work, psychology, social sciences, or related field. An advanced degree is an advantage.
  • With high knowledge and understanding of child’s rights, child protection, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), Anti-trafficking in Persons, community-based child protection system, project management, case management, child trafficking, gender and development, and gender equality.
  • Five years of professional experience in implementing programs or projects related to child and youth protection.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and varied workload, often to tight deadlines.
  • Strong competency in critical thinking, result-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Strong background in project management, partnership building/networking, advocacy, NGO leadership, and management is highly desirable.
  • Very good command of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila

Type of Role: Project-based (until October 2026)

Reports to: Portfolio Manager – Protection from Violence

This role requires fieldwork in the project areas.
