Plan International Pilipinas, a leading child rights organization, is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Project Officer to join our team. We are implementing a 7-month project funded by the Australian Government to protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation (OSAEC).
About the Project:
This exciting project focuses on testing innovative strategies and tools to prevent OSAEC in real-world settings. We are working in partnership with communities in Manila and Leyte to:
- Change harmful attitudes: Address the social norms that contribute to child sexual abuse.
- Empower children and families: Equip children and families with the knowledge and skills to stay safe online.
- Create a safer online environment: Develop and test resources that can be used nationwide to protect children from online harm.
As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of this project. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting project implementation: Assisting in the planning and execution of field activities, including community workshops and training sessions.
- Building relationships: Fostering strong relationships with community members, local government officials, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting: Tracking project progress, collecting data, and preparing reports on project activities and outcomes.
- Providing administrative support: Managing project logistics, coordinating with partners, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
What You Bring:
- Passion for child protection: A strong commitment to child rights and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children.
- Relevant experience: A degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, development studies) and 2-3 years of experience in community development, project management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze data, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach: A strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving project goals.
