Job Summary
CRS is implementing the Latter-day Saint Charities (LDSC) funded Holistic Opportunities for Positive Engagement in Maternal and Child Health (HOPE-MCH) Project which puts child well-being at the center and seeks to envelop children with the support and care they need from their families, communities, clinics, and health system to survive and thrive.
As a member of the HOPE-MCH project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
- Coordinate communication and facilitate information sharing among the project team, implementing partners, and project beneficiaries at the community level to assist local partners in strengthening the community interest, involvement and support networks.
- Facilitate the use of GPS tracking system to generate coordinates of all project sites – including communities and health facilities
- Ensure project documentation for health facility and communities for assigned activities is complete with all required documents and is filed per agency and donor requirements.
- Work closely with the District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) to facilitate adherence to project activities in line with the signed agreements
- Monitor and report on any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
- Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with local partner(s) to prepare reports per established reporting schedule.

- Collect information on staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
- Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
- Experience in the field of maternal and child health, early childhood development and gender and disability inclusion and for an NGO would be a plus.
- Experience in training and providing technical support to partners/community-based agents

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree relevant in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, Nutrition or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support preferably in community development and mobilization. Fresh graduates may be considered for the role.
- Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
- Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment
- Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members
- Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
- Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented
- •Excellent facilitation, reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to ride motorbike in rough terrain

Required Languages: Fluency in English required and ability to speak local languages such as Dagbani, Mampruli, Likpakpa, Moar, Gonja, Twi, Hausa, Waali, Dagaare etc. is an added advantage.
Travel: up to 90% of time spent in the HOPE MCH Project communities
