About the Program

At Anglicare NT, our vision is that all children and families in Alice Springs have the opportunity and support to develop and grow emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally, in a child-friendly and nurturing community. Since 2010 Anglicare NT in Alice Springs has been funded by the Department of Social Services as the Facilitating Partner for Communities for Children delivering place based early intervention activities that have positive and sustainable outcomes for the most vulnerable and at-risk children and their families.

About the Opportunity

As the Project Officer, you will support the delivery of placed-based Communities for Children activities in the Central Desert Region. You will play an active role within the community, supporting and organising community events, and coordinating working groups, committees, and consultations to promote positive program outcomes. You will provide high level administrative support to the program to ensure outcomes are achieved on time.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Qualifications in Early Children, Community Development, Humanities, or equivalent workplace experience. Previous project management experience desirable.
  • Ability to coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information to support program outcomes.
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate a range of facilitated events.
  • Ability to source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues.
  • Have prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
