Project Officer (Animation/ Interaction Design)

School of Art, Design and Media is looking for a candidate to join them as a Project Officer.

This role investigates on the interaction between the AI in an autonomous vehicle and the passenger is an exciting opportunity to experiment based on human-to-human interaction which will be extrapolated to AI to Human interface.

This role will independently handle the whole project management under the supervision of the lead project investigator. This role will have several student researchers to assist in exploring the use of open AI to interact with human beings in an autonomous vehicle setting. This role will have the opportunity to write, co-author and present and publish in design scientific conference and journals. This role will enjoy the conducive environment of one of the exciting design schools in the region and enjoy exposure to a technological university of excellence. The successful Project Officer will come with knowledge and skillsets in animation and interaction as well as experience setting up interactive virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall planning, execution and management of this project

• Keep track of the project milestones and achievable

• Keep track of the approved budget and spending

• Manage the IRB requirements for human testing

• Mange the tests, analyze the results and summarize findings

• Oversee the writing, submission of papers and articles for presentations in conference and journals

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in animation and/or interaction design with at least five years of experience

• At least two years of experience in managing such projects

• Well versed in animation software such as Unity and Unreal Engine

• Exposure to experiments with open AI software such as ChatGPT, Bing AI and Midjourney
