About the role

As the Family Safety Project Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, development and implementation of Capital Health Network’s (CHNs) Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Pilot Program.

The Family Domestic and Sexual Violence Program is a new focus area for CHN. As part of this role, you will be responsible for using your project management skills and your understanding of the issues impacting on the health and wellbeing of people experiencing FDSV. The role involves supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of a pilot program that enhances primary health care workforce capability and enables integration across the primary health care and FDSV sectors.

About the team

The Health System Integration (HSI) Team is responsible for coordinating projects and program areas centred around improvement and integration of the health system to actively respond to the needs of the ACT community.

The Family Safety Team sits within the HSI Team and is responsible for undertaking the strategic planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the FDSV Pilot initiatives aimed at improving service navigation for victim-survivors of FDSV in the ACT.

Reporting to the Family Safety Program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of system integration activities across the FDSV and primary health care sector, coordinating evaluation and reporting for the program, and progressing key program priorities.

You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, at both a local and national level, to develop program resources and implement quality improvement activities within the primary health care sector to enhance their capability to recognise, respond to, and refer people at the risk of, or experiencing, FDSV.

As part of working at an innovative organisation, you will also contribute to process improvement and broader CHN projects and initiatives. You will have an opportunity to work closely across all business units within CHN.

Work location
