Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Global Programming, the Project Officer for Global Programming (PO) plays a key role in advancing programs within the Columbia Global Centers. The Global Centers are Columbia University’s global presences in 11 cities around the world, providing opportunities for students to become global citizens, for CU research to connect with local social impact needs and expertise, and for local communities and alumni to engage with CU through a variety of public and educational programs. The PO will work with the Director to support annual programmatic work plans for the Columbia Global Centers, as well as monitor and track program implementation and execution. The PO will support the development of individual project work plans, timelines, and budgets and budget narratives. The PO will also provide technical support to cross-network initiatives such as fellows programs and faculty grant research opportunities offered in collaboration with the Centers. Critical to successful project planning is establishing close working relationships with the Global Center programming staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience such as developing international programs and managing complex projects, ideally in a higher education environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Work effectively with diverse populations and cultures demonstrating and contributing to a DEI professional environment.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 USD
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
