We are seeking a Project Officer- Government Projects, to join our Standards Unit on a 24-month fixed term full time contract.
The role of the Project Officer, in conjunction with the Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of Lung Disease projects and supporting the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to deliver the projects and other requirements that support contemporary and evidence-based standards and project delivery.
The Project Officer duties will include, but not limited to:
- Preparing written documents such as agendas, minutes, reports, work-plans and professional documents and communication materials relevant to government projects, SIGs and practice standards.
- Providing secretariat and administrative support to relevant committees, working groups and special interest groups, to support the delivery of government projects with occasional out of normal hours support.
- Contributing to meetings or stakeholder interactions to convey key messages regarding standards, quality and professional programs/projects.
- Acting as point of call for queries from members and external stakeholders for consultations, information requests, advice, concerns or complaints.
- Responding to queries and keeping a record of requests and outcomes; and liaising with, or forwarding queries to College Members or other Units, as required, ensuring follow up and outcomes are recorded.
- Ensuring that professional documents are updated in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinating and actively participating in developing material and content to communicate the activities of the government projects to the College membership and external audiences as needed.
- Foster collaborative working relationships fundamental to the projects objectives and deliverables including internal and external stakeholders, both within the Standards Unit, other business units.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated ability in managing and delivering multiple projects or coordinating government funded, deadline driven projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high activity environment.
- Highly developed verbal communication, negotiation and change management skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of key internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the principles influencing healthcare integration, coordination, and person-centred care (desirable).
- Highly developed writing skills with experience in preparing a range of written materials (reports, standards, policy) for different audiences.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in health or related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
- Postgraduate qualifications in health or related discipline (desirable).
