About The Role

Do you enjoy working in a global context to deliver practical benefits for wetlands and people?

We have an exciting opportunity within our International CEPA (Communication, Capacity
Building, Education, Participation and Awareness) Team to deliver world-class learning tools to
support wetland conservation across the globe. With wetlands still disappearing and degrading
at pace, we urgently need to work with partners to build capacity of partners at wetlands
locally, nationally and across flyways. Your role will be to support the next phase of our
wetland learning hub (WLH), creating a suite of learning opportunities in our key international
regions.

The WLH has successfully completed its pilot and has been awarded funding to develop the
approach across our three key regions: West Africa; Madagascar; and Indo-Burma. You will
support the development of the new virtual learning environment, creation of learning tools
such as online lectures, webinars and workshops, and developing an online resource platform.

This is a fixed term contract for 24 months. The role will work 30 hours per week across 4 days
with the option of being based at Slimbridge Wetland Centre with hybrid working opportunities or
home based.

Our CEPA team is recognised as world-leading, supporting global environmental agreements,
regional initiatives, governments and local partners. We promote the effective communication of
the importance of wetlands to the widest range of audiences, encouraging them to take action.
Your skills will help us to grow, resulting in the creation of champions for wetlands across
the globe.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering environmental education online
resources for adult learners. As well as these technical skills, you will also be working with
partners and course participants, requiring great interpersonal and communication skills and
the ability to work with people from different cultures.

We ask that the successful candidate has previous experience of managing small projects,
writing reports and problem solving to deliver positive outcomes.
