Project Manager – Non IT role – We are seeking a collaborative, energetic, experienced Project Manager
- Full time, fixed term contract until the end of March 2025 with the potential to extend
- Play a key role in strengthening the quality and sustainability of Seniors Services provided by Uniting

About the opportunity:
Join our team to play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of project activities within the Aged Care Quality Reforms Program at Uniting.
This entails careful consideration of resources, timelines, budgets and scope requirements. As part of this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Reforms Lead, Change Manager and IT Project Manager, to implement the changes outlined in the Department of Health and Aged Care Reforms Roadmap. What you’ll be doing in this role:
As the Project Manager, you will:
- Work with the Reforms Lead to translate Aged Care Quality Reforms into business requirements and project streams.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, working collaboratively with the Change Manager and IT Project Manager.
- Lead project streams within the Aged Care Quality Reforms Program to ensure efficient delivery meeting business requirements.
- Support project team members to ensure high-quality outputs and facilitate project implementation activities.
- Help to improve governance for the Aged Care Quality Reforms Program and provide regular status reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate issues, manage changes to project scope, and foster effective team relationships across the organisation.
Who we’re looking for:
You will have Tertiary/Bachelor qualification in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.
- Project Manager with 5+ years’ experience.
- Proven ability to create and manage project schedules, plans, budgets, and progress reports.
- Proficiency in project management applications.
- Experience coordinating and delivering projects in complex environments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for navigating complex organisations and managing through influence.
- Capability to seamlessly integrate into ongoing programs or projects and ensure continued delivery.
- Skilled at influencing others to gain support for ideas, proposals, projects, and solutions.
You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and thrive on delivering successful outcomes. You have outstanding verbal and written skills, are an exceptional team player that will roll up their sleeves and pitch in with a high level of energy and enthusiasm!
Even better:
- Experience working in the Aged Care sector.
- Qualifications in Project Management e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile certifications.
- Experience working in Change Management.
- Qualifications in best practice change management methodologies e.g., PROSCI.
