The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, the Office of Recruitment and Workforce Development (ORWD) is seeking an experienced, full-time Project Specialist – Administrative (PSA) professional to join its rapidly growing team. This PSA will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director as well providing back-up support to the Workforce Development and Recruitment teams, as needed. The PSA assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of ORWD projects. The PSA will also support with the implementation of: 1) project activities, 2) data collection, management, and reporting, 3) financial transactions, 4) support of project budget coordination, and 5) working with other departments to manage internal and external information flows.
Specific activities include:
- Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of administrative projects, including developing and implementing project goals and strategies.
- Provides key support to senior ORWD members with administrative functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling and implementing project activities to meet objectives.
- Serves as liaison between ORWD and the post-award finance team while supporting with the completion of financinal transactions and project budgment coordination.
- Prepares reports, correspondence, other materials and analysis according to project schedules or on an as-needed basis.
- Works with key staff in managing calendar appointments and schedules.
- Supports the management of projects, including monitoring progress toward completion of assigned tasks. Ensures reports and recommendations are prepared and submitted in a timely manner and follows-up with implementation, as appropriate.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years
- Directly related project or administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- 3 years directly related project or administrative experience
Compensation: The hourly base range for this position is $29.44 – $34.29.
