Property Damage Solicitor / Legal Executive – This is an exciting time to be joining a growing team which focuses on a range of property damage work relating to residential and commercial property. Having won a number of client tenders, the Partners are looking for talented lawyers to join both the subrogated recoveries teams and complex large loss teams. The quality of work is exceptionally high with fantastic opportunities for development and progression.

Overview

• Job title: Solicitor or Legal Executive (multiple roles at various levels)
• Location: Manchester / Bristol
• Salary: to £54,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: Candidates with a commercial insurance background or commercial litigation background are strongly encouraged to apply. Personal injury experience (especially EL/PL) will be considered as will other areas such as RTA Fraud.

Previous property damage and subrogated recovery experience would be ideal, but opportunities to retrain

A strong background in property damage with specific reference to insurance-backed property damage claims would obviously be a major advantage, but the team also encourage applications from candidates from other disciplines such as:

• professional indemnity
• commercial litigation
• debt recovery
• personal injury – especially those with EL/PL experience
• RTA / Motor Fraud

If you are a gifted lawyer with a strong dispute resolution skillset, this may be the role for you.

Key client attributes

The work undertaken by the team is basically insurance-backed commercial litigation. Therefore, they are looking for clients with strong litigation skills. Strong attention to detail is key as well as the ability to build and manage good client relationships.

They are looking for candidates with strong attention to detail and who generally focus more on the recoveries side of commercial insurance especially complex subrogated insurance rather than coverage. You will be at the heart of a busy department at the cutting edge of this area of complex subrogated loss.
