Org. Setting and Reporting
The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Field Property Inspector, A14.
Responsibilities
Ensures that Custodians’ signatures and equipment lists are maintained, up to date in the system and subjected to periodic comparisons.
Carries out annual checks of all assets and monthly random checks of expendable, attractive or special items, and prepares the necessary reports.
Investigates and resolves all queries relating to property.
Reviews survey requests for property which has been lost, stolen or willfully damaged by a staff member or other person, surplus, obsolete, unserviceable items through fair wear and tear which is Beyond Economic Repair (BER) or damaged through no fault of any staff member(s); confirms that appropriate investigations have been carried out and copies of the reports (if any) are attached to the Survey Request (SR).
Carries out the appropriate survey action and documentation thereof; makes the necessary recommendations according to each case to mitigate such property loss or such property becoming surplus, obsolete, or damaged in future, identifies the method of disposal and informs the custodians of the results of surveys and Finance of the approved Survey Requests related to Non-Expendable Property.
Registers and issues barcodes for the newly acquired assets in the related ERP solution, in line with the Property Management Manual (PMM); follows up with the requesting department on the distribution of the asset to complete the registration process to the level of end user/individual custodian. Coordinates directly and on daily basis with user departments on asset relocation and reflecting this on the ERP solution to ensure the data base is always updated.
Prepares annual inspection plan, in close coordination with his/her supervisor, of all installations and coordinates with other fields on work processes.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

At least four years of relevant experience in administration, auditing, procurement, warehousing, distribution or related field, is required.

Type of Contract: Fixed Term Appointment
Duration of Contract: 3 years including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
This vacancy notice is open to internal candidates only. No candidate is entitled to be provided a copy of his or her scored test or be informed of the scores given, or the tests and scores given to other candidates. A candidate does not have the right to request his or her test to be reassessed or to be given an opportunity to repeat the test.

Conditions of service:
The monthly earnings will start from USD 1,306.60 (Monthly Salary 1,139.60 + Supplementary Allowance USD 167)
Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable).
