This position is responsible for prospect research and portfolio
management in support of the Major Gift team. Reporting to
the AVP for Advancement and working closely with the major gift
officers, this position will help inform and accomplish fundraising
goals. This is a full time, benefits eligible position. While
on-campus presence is preferred, remote work will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Manage the collection,
analysis, interpretation, and documentation of philanthropic
information regarding university constituents; identify
prospects with the potential for major philanthropic giving;
utilize resources such as proprietary databases, contracted
screening, and data mining resources; create and organize reports
for gift officers; ensure all philanthropic data is successfully
integrated into Advancement Slate database
Coordinate portfolio
management for major gift officers; conduct portfolio
review sessions for gift officers to help prioritize strategic
outreach; develop reports on fundraising history and performance;
refine team-based prospect management protocols and strategy
development to ensure engagement with top prospects; assist gift
officers in keeping database records accurately updated
Produce biographical reports
and profiles for the President and University leadership;
ensure relevant biographical profiles are completed for all events
and provided in advance of the event; prepare and provide complete
biographical profiles prior to President/University leadership
trips; ensure profiles are integrated into Advancement’s Slate
database
Maintain best practices and
standards for prospect research and management; organize
vendor relationships and contracts related to prospect research
tools and services; note which vendor relationships have
philanthropy already included/embedded into contract terms; ensure
vendors are invited to provide philanthropic support
Requirements:

Bachelor’s preferred; significant
experience in advancement prospect research may substitute for
education
Minimum of one year experience;
preference for experience with advancement prospect research
Highly organized, background with
Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and strong analytical skills

Salary $49k-$53k, based on experience
On-campus preferred (Bloomington, IL); Remote work residing in
