Job title: Protection Coordinator
Reporting to: Head of Programme
Location: Arua
Overall purpose of the role:
DRC Uganda is looking for a highly qualified Protection Coordinator for a short term (5 month) contract to lead the strategic development of the country program’s protection portfolio and to support implementing teams in enhancing the quality and technical rigor of protection services provided by the organization.
This entails ensuring implementing teams have the knowledge and tools to meet or exceed organizational minimum standards.
The position will also act as the primary point of representation with external stakeholders, including protection working groups and other protection-related coordination fora. The Protection Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Head of Program in designing and writing protection-related concept notes and project proposals.

Furthermore, the Protection Coordinator will provide updates and analysis of protection issues and trends for the senior management team on a regular basis.
