Protection from Violence Officer Moldova Ocnita

1. Role and responsibilities

The purpose of the Outreach Officer is to implement the day-to-day of the Outreach activities. The Outreach Officer will be managing community mobilization activities which includes creating and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, and community members. The primary goal is to enhance awareness of NRC, promote its mission, and foster collaboration within the community. He/she will be reporting to the PFV Coordinator. The position will be based in Moldova/ Ocnita.

Generic responsibilities:

1. Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
2. Implement delegated PfV project portfolio according to the plan of action.
3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
4. Ensure proper filing of documents.
5. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
6. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
7. Develop status reports as required by management.

These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance.

Generic professional competencies:

• Experience from working as a Project Officer in a humanitarian organization or social work environment
• Previous experience working in complex or volatile contexts
• Previous experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
• English proficiency both written and verbal
• Fluency in Romanian, Ukrainian / Russian preferred

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

• University degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Excellent capacity to plan, prioritize and multitask, attention to detail.
• Excellent team-working skills.
• Flexible and adaptable, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
• Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office (Word and Excel); Other digital skills appreciated.
