In Syria, the Humanitarian Country Team is working to strengthen system-wide protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse across the humanitarian response. In alignment with NORCAP’s mission, we are supporting the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in recruiting a PSEA Coordinator to lead and coordinate inter-agency efforts to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation and abuse.
This role is based in Damascus, Syria, reporting to the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Syria, for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
The PSEA coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the collective action, capacity building, and safeguarding the dignity and rights of communities affected by crisis.
