The Ocean Conservation Trust is a global charity that exists to protect and
restore the Ocean. Its vision is a world where the Ocean is thriving, healthy, and sustainably
protected for generations to come. The team invests time, skills and passion into projects that
increase biodiversity and combat climate change to protect the Ocean. It harnesses the
collective power of people and encourages positive action through pro-ocean behaviour and
habitat restoration, inspiring positive change amongst individuals, communities, businesses,
and policymakers alike.
The unique waters of Plymouth Sound have been instrumental in shaping our city and nation’s
heritage, culture, wealth and security. The National Marine Park will
encourage greater prosperity and engagement with our marine environment. One of the OCT’s roles
within this project is to engage school children in Plymouth with the park. Connecting them
with Plymouth’s rich natural and historic heritage through innovative activity, digital
platforms and teacher training.
As the PSNMP Schools Project Lead, your role will be to coordinate the “Sea in your Schools”
programme, which will engage the local school children of Plymouth with the countries first
National Marine Park.

capable of demonstrating innovative approaches to engagement, capturing the imagination of a
wide range of audiences and inspiring Pro-Ocean marine citizenship behaviour in students across
the city.

This is a fixed term contract until January 2029 working Monday to Friday, 9am -5pm.
Salary: £25,000 – £28,500 depending on experience.
