Job description
A rare opportunity to experience the world’s best practice Early Psychosis Youth Service (Orygen EPPIC model) in the Continuing Care Team in Mount Druitt, funded by the Commonwealth Government. You will work with a small multidisciplinary team providing case management, psychological and medication therapies, with a strong emphasis on engagement and recovery.
The service includes a Functional Recovery Team including peer workers, exercise physiologist, dietician and employment placement and support, plus an extended hours Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team . Previous Registrars have extended their stay in the role, the current Registrar obtaining RANZCP Fellowship. The medical staffing is 5 Consultants, 3 Registrars and one Senior CMO, with local training activities.
- Full time in Mt Druitt + some Telehealth
- Six (6) month contract with possibility of extension

Essential Criteria:
- Current registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Enrolled in the RANZCP Psychiatric Registrar Training Program
- A minimum of one year clinical experience in Psychiatry
- Demonstrates clinical and procedural experience commensurate with clinical responsibilities of a Registrar in psychiatry
- Demonstrated ability to engage and work collaboratively with young people and their families/significant others
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (2007) and the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act (1998) and other relevant legislation
- Current Drivers License
