Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced psychologist for a 2-month contract to provide psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to clients experiencing a range of mental health issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic interventions and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations.
Diagnose mental health disorders based on DSM-5 criteria.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other appropriate modalities.
Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Crisis Intervention:
Offer crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute psychological distress.
Develop safety plans and provide immediate support and stabilization.
Provide consultation and support to other staff members regarding psychological issues.
Education and Training:
Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and clients on mental health topics.
Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding and management of mental health conditions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Prepare and submit reports on client progress and outcomes as required.
Professional Development:
Stay current with developments in the field of psychology through continuing education and professional development activities.
Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation meetings
Qualifications:
Education:
Psychologist, Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience. Or same duration in psychological department
Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of psychological issues.
Skills:
Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Languages:
Proficiency: Arabic is required.
