psychologist – Ninawa

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• With the support of the psychologist manager, conduct training sessions for the case workers on identifying and managing cases with psychological problems;
• With the support of the psychologist manager, conduct training sessions for the PSS workers to improve the quality of the psychosocial support provided;
• Through on the job training, provide the case workers with appropriate tools to assess children needs and conduct quality MHPSS referrals;
• Support the case workers to deal with children who are not in need of MHPSS services but they are presenting some challenges in terms of behavior, relationship with peers, etc.;
• Provide the physiotherapists with tools and skills about how to provide a minimum level of support to caregivers with children with severe disabilities and how to identify and referred families in need of specialized support;
• Train the PSS workers to identified and referred cases of children in need of MHPSS services;
• In coordination with the case workers, support the roll out of parental trainings and the implementation of support groups.

Reporting to:

The psychologist works under the direct supervision of the psychologist supervisor.

Bachelor Degree in  Psychology 

– two years of experience as psychologist;

– Previous experience with NGOs;

– Previous experience with IDPs is preferrable.

Arabic language are required and English is an asset
