About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Provisional or Registered Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Ringwood (VIC).

As a Vocational Psychologist you will be working with adults who are experiencing barriers to employment. Through a model of assessment and brief intervention you will implement evidence-based strategies to assist in identifying and addressing barriers to gaining and sustaining employment.

Your day to day

  • Building relationships with clients by creating a supportive and safe environment in which open conversations are encouraged
  • Maintain a client caseload and managing time to effectively
  • Identify and work towards achieving successful outcomes for clients by helping to identify strengths and challenges
  • Assist with identifying client readiness for employment or supporting clients into alternate pathways
  • Report writing and consultation with Employment Mentors working in Australian Government-funded Employment Services.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Completed a degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Membership of APS is not required but would be an advantage
  • High level of cultural awareness and experience with working with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • High level of capability with delivering support in a virtual environment as well as face to face
  • Ability to work collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders
