Description
Child Protection
- In coordination with the Child Protection Officer, meet with Case Workers and physiotherapists on a daily basis to advise on cases requiring psychological care
- Provide psychological support for children in need and the children with disability
- Provide positive parenting sessions, in cases of reported child abuse (i.e. corporal punishment, neglect and/or emotional abuse)
- Refer cases of children requiring case management to the CP Officer
- Conduct service mapping of available MHPSS services and familiarize Case Workers with the services
- Work in coordination with PSS workers
- Attend technical workshops and trainings related to MHPSS
- Assisting in the creation of any kind of project material, both technical and informational, in Arabic and/or Kurdish
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Degree in psychology
- Relevant training in child protection and PTSD
- At least 2 years of experience in working with children as psychologist
- Previous experience with NGOs
- Previous experience with Refugees/IDPs children
- Knowledge of case management
- Fluent in Arabic, englishis an asset
- Experience with children with disability
