Description
Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Child Protection Officer/CP specialist, meet with Case Workers and physiotherapists (if available) on a daily basis to advise on cases requiring psychological care.
- Provide psychological support for children in need and the children with disability
- Provide positive parenting sessions, in cases of reported child abuse (i.e. corporal punishment, neglect and/or emotional abuse)
- Receiving cases of children requiring specialized intervention from the CP Officer/social worker.
- Conduct service mapping of available MHPSS services in collaboration with PC/CPO/PM and familiarize social Workers/CPO with the services.
- Work in coordination with S-PSS/PSS workers and regular participation in the PSS sessions.
- Attend technical workshops and trainings related to MHPSS then rollout the staffs.
- Assisting in the creation of related project material, both technical and informational, in Arabic and/or English, Kurdish.
- Provide support for other projects as per needed.
- Conducting children’s need assessment in the area/camp and relevant surveys.
- Promoting among families and local community in general the CFS/MU/center activities (goals, timetable, etc.)
- Shaping and modifying the activities delivered to support vulnerable cases in close collaboration with relevant teams.
- Undertake the responsibilities in train CPC and conducting regular meeting and reporting the minute (MoM) to Supervisor.
- Support FGDs.
- Monitoring children improvement behaviors inside and outside the center.
- Responsible in coordination with MHPSS actors.
- any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Degree in psychology
- Relevant training in child protection and PTSD
- At least 2 years of experience in working with children as psychologist
- Previous experience with NGOs
- Previous experience with Refugees/IDPs children
- Knowledge of case management
- Fluent in Arabic, English is an asset
Experience with children with disability
