IPSOS IS LOOKING FOR A NEW COLLEAGUE FOR THE EUROPEAN PUBLIC AFFAIRS TEAM in BELGIUM:

For our European and International Public Affair clients such as the EU institutions and agencies, and international organisations such as the OECD and NATO we are expanding our Belgium based team to be able to deliver on our promise to be their essential research partner for high calibre solutions that withstand scrutiny

What will you be doing at Ipsos European Public Affairs besides having lots of fun? You will be responsible for

  • Helping to grow our business by writing compelling research proposals in response to tenders from European public institutions such as the European Commission, and international organisations. 
  • Building close, durable relationships with clients and research partners alike, by proactively providing them with advise and solutions in response to their research needs.
  • The design and daily management of research projects, fulfilling our clients’ needs, and expanding Ipsos’ portfolio of research excellence in a wide range of different research methods and policy areas.

In an enthusiastic team

located in Leuven (Belgium), but as a strategic unit of Ipsos Global part of the Ipsos Public Affairs network that connects more than 800 researchers from around the globe who are expert in designing and managing social research studies using the full range of quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Work-wise we look for

  • A passion for business development, including the ability to lead on bids for public tenders, as well as identifying new market opportunities and building strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills, working to tight deadlines to deliver profitable work and assure quality of all outputs.
  • You take interest in  evidence-informed policy-making and how research can feed into policy making and policy evaluation. You have for instance experience with consumer market studies, public opinion polling, policy evaluation projects, impact assessments, company surveys, behavioural experiments, deliberative research … 
  • You take interest in various EU policy domains, e.g., climate action, consumers, digital economy and society, education and training, public health, …
  • You have in depth knowledge of the European Union and its organisations.
  • You write clear, insightful and detailed reports in English and love to present them, adapting your style to the  study and the client as needed – with no spelling or grammar mistakes.
  • Being a problem solver, weighting benefits and risks of creative ideas and alternative solutions to tackle unforeseen problems.

Person-wise we look for

  • Demonstrable relevant experience of minimum of 10 years in large-scale multi-country Public Affairs quantitative and/or qualitative research and tenders. 
  • Experience in bidding and project management for the European Commission and related organisations is a huge plus.
  • Proven ability to work well in teams with input from specialists (e.g. statisticians, partners, …).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proficient in English, written and orally.
