Duties and Responsibilities
The internship is located in the Office of the Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety (Special Envoy), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Head of Secretariat of the Special Envoy, the incumbent is expected to contribute to the work of the Secretariat as follows: – Undertake research to support identification of potential partners and to inform activities of the Special Envoy; – Draft articles, briefing notes and other outreach communications to help raise visibility of the global road safety crisis; – Undertake research on initiatives that illustrate the nexus between road safety and other SDGs; – Support the events, campaigns, projects and activities planned for the Special Envoy; – Support the relevant activities on social media; – Perform other duties as requested.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required.
