Organizational Setting

UTF/BRA/089/BRA

The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.

The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme

Technical Focusf

To subsidize the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Agroecology with research, analysis, systematizations, and proposals to strengthen, expand and improve the dissemination and dissemination of information, considering the new structure and based on strategic management, as well as on the projects developed by SAF for the development of policies and actions aimed at sustainable rural development.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Bibliographic and internal research at SAF on communication and its flow with the public;
• Propose tools for strategic action;
• Identify current policies and programs and their dissemination actions;
• Propose systematization of methodology and a booklet highlighting the connection between family farming, climate change and environmental catastrophes;
• Propose a plan for the dissemination of SAF actions, systematizing strategies and flows;
• Propose action planning and application of tools for external dissemination of SAF actions and projects;
• Evaluation of the diffusion and dissemination of SAF during the 2023 recovery year.

CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences according to the CAPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge;
• Minimum experience of 05 years in public policies for family farming and in instruments aimed at the production and dissemination of information.
• Working knowledge (level C) of English or Spanish and Portuguese.
• Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil.
