Job Purpose:

Strengthening and consolidating relations between Qatar Charity office and local authorities and institutions, and international organizations. The post is also required to handle internal office management issues as deemed necessary and as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Organizing and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, and visits.
  2. Organizing, arranging and supervising project opening ceremonies in coordination with Qatar embassy, and the sector of Program Operation and international programs and other relevant departments of Qatar Charity Organization.
  3. Communicate and coordinate with various government agencies for the purpose of cooperation and partnership in coordination with other relevant departments of Qatar Charity.
  4. Contributing to the preparation and planning of Qatar Charity advertising campaigns.
  5. Receiving delegations and personnels visiting the office.
  6. Speaking at interviews, press conferences and presentations.
  7. Handling inquiries from the public, press and relevant organizations.
  8. Analysis the media coverage and articles about Qatar Charity office
  9. Strengthening the relationship between employees and Qatar Charity.
  10. Data entry in Qatar Charity portal
  11. Handle procurement related activates.
  12. Translate articles or reading materials from Arabic and or English to Amharic or vise-versa
  13. Office filing and archive.
  14. Meetings minutes.
  15. Other management tasks as delegated by the Country Director.

Education and Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in public relations management, business administration or similar.

Experience:

  1. Experience in coordinating and organizing events.
  2. Experience in effective communication.
  3. Experience in office management.

Required skills:

1. Photography skills.

2. Skills to work on computer programs.

3. Communication and relationship building skills.

Knowledge:

General knowledge of the Government policies, laws and procedures followed in the country when wanting to organize an event or a delegation visit to the office headquarters to facilitate the workflow.

Personal Qualities:

1. Ability to withstand work pressure.

2. The ability to manage time.

3. The ability to lead a work team.

4. Ability to decision making.

Languages:

Reading, writing and speaking fluently (Arabic, and English).

Employment Status

Full time
