Do you have a passion for non-fiction? Can you create impactful, sales-driving publicity campaigns that capture people’s attention and interest? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Publicity Manager to join the Transworld publicity team, focusing primarily on our non-fiction titles but also working across some of our fiction titles too.About TransworldTransworld is one of PRH’s ten publishing houses, with three distinctive imprints: Bantam, Doubleday and Torva. Our non-fiction publishing spans general non-fiction, history, sport, science, self-development, business, celebrity, politics, smart-thinking and nature-writing, and includes authors like James Holland, Jason Fox, Guenther Steiner, Dawn Butler MP, Hallie Rubenhold and Chris Broad. On the fiction side, we publish in the literary, commercial, crime and thriller, romance, book club and SFF spaces, and our numerous authors include Lee Child, Frank Gardner, Shari Lapena, Jo Thomas and John Boyne.The OpportunityReporting into the Head of Publicity – Non-Fiction, and joining a team of 9, this is an opportunity to create publicity campaigns for a mixture of established and new authors. It might suit a publicity manager with one to two years’ experience or an experienced press officer looking to make their next career move.In return for your hard work, you’ll get to work with some of the most creative publishing colleagues in the business, in a friendly and inclusive environment that values individuality, champions creativity, and celebrates individual and team successes. You’ll be involved throughout every stage of the publishing process, from acquisition to cover design, devising and executing campaign plans, brand strategy meetings, author events and much more.What you’ll bringYou’ll have a proven track record of independently producing standout publicity campaigns either in trade publishing or a related creative field. You’ll also:Have established media contacts and be knowledgeable on all forms of media including broadcast, print and onlineBe highly organised with excellent time management to juggle concurrent campaignsHave great communication skills to be able to pitch ideas, report back to authors and agents and produce materials both internally and externallyDemonstrate analytical ability and financial awareness for your campaignsThink outside the box to find new and creative ways to build the buzz behind our booksImportantly, you’ll also be passionate about books and want to tell everyone about the exciting titles and authors we publish.If this sounds like you, please apply with your CV and a covering letter by midnight on Sunday 28th April.
