Location: Duhok
Tender Package Available from: 2024-08-14
Deadline for Offer Submission: 2024-09-01 at 00:00 AM (Iraqi Time)

As a part of the DELIVER in health project in Iraq to promote Durable Endeavors and Local Initiatives for Vulnerable Communities’ Empowerment and Resilience in Health, PUI will provide technical capacity building to their local partner Hope Makers Organization for Women (HMOW). The training will focus on building the technical capacity of the HMOW staff in ICAN working group facilitation which are group sessions aimed to build resilience and positive coping mechanisms for adolescents and their caregivers.

The training will specifically focus on:

The ICAN group facilitation: I CAN curriculum for group sessions is developed and designed by PUI to support adolescents and their caregivers by promoting mental health awareness and resilience. HMOW will engage with adolescents aged 12 to 16 and their caregivers through structured support groups, facilitating an understanding of mental health and resilience. The ICAN curriculum comprises eight sessions, including two sessions specifically for caregivers and six core sessions for adolescents. Two optional sessions on anger management are available for tailored community needs. This structured approach enables participants to develop self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and social skills in a supportive environment. The ICAN curriculum topics include sessions for caregivers on adolescence and autonomy, and safety plans. For adolescents, the sessions cover self-esteem, emotions, emotion management, communication, social skills, and identity.

The trainer is expected to deliver comprehensive training to the Hope Makers staff on how to conduct and facilitate the ICAN Curriculum to enable them to promote MHPSS to the community of Sinjar.

PUI is inviting both individual consultants and consultancy firms to apply for this opportunity and submit their offers.
