PUI – Call for Trainers Mother to Mother Facilitation Training

As a part of DELIVER in health project in Iraq to promote Durable Endeavors and Local Initiatives for Vulnerable Communities’ Empowerment and Resilience in Health, PUI will provide technical capacity building to their local partner Hope Makers Organization for Women. The training will focus on building the technical capacity of the HMOW staff in Reproductive Health social and behavior change interventions, more specifically to support the implementation of Mothers-to-Mothers groups.

Promotion of Health, specifically Maternal, Child, and Newborn Health is the main areas of focus for the project. Using a community-based approach, HMOW will work with new mothers to improve their knowledge and practices about Infant and young children feeding (IYCF) practices, nurturing care, and pre-and post-natal psychosocial support (PSS) . The workshops will have two purposes:

• Improving the mother’s knowledge and practices about essential topics that can foster better health for them and their newborn children. These topics will focus on Infant and young child feeding IYCF , with a special focus on breastfeeding.
• Improve community bonds and mental well-being for new mothers by fostering a kind and safe space for mothers to ask questions, receive support, and express concerns.

The trainer is expected to deliver practical and theorical training to the Hope Makers staff on how to build, manage and facilitate the mothers-to-mothers groups. The trainer training will improve their level of knowledge on IYCF, PSS and nurturing care, to enhance their capacity to transmit essential messages and support behavior changes.

PUI is inviting both individual consultants and consultancy firms to apply for this opportunity and submit their offers.
