Description

The Project Manager (PM) will manage, coordinate, and monitor project activities and relationships with partners and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the social cohesion/PVE objectives of the project in Ninawa governorate. The PM’s project management skills, knowledge of social cohesion approaches, and understanding of the context in Ninawa. The PM will work closely with the Committee of PVE in Ninawa

Responsibilities:

  • Managing overall project activities, supervising implementation of projects and making sure project is according to work plan and timetable.
  • Coordinate and oversee the working relationships with all local project stakeholders including overseeing the development of a subcommittee of Prevention of Violence Extremism to deliver high quality workshops to beneficiaries and CSOs.
  • Represent the organization with government of Ninawa, INGO working groups, relevant local partners and subcommittee of Prevention of Violence Extremism.
  • Coordinate activities required for ensuring the financial, material and human resources for the quality implementation of the project.
  • Preparing the weekly and monthly narrative and progress reports.

Coordinate with the governorate and Majority in the target areas

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

Essential

  • Iraqi National
  • Fluent Arabic and English (Kurdish would be considered an advantage)
  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role of responsibilitywith NGO or INGO.
  • Proven skills in planning and management skills and Team Leader Skills.
  • Management capacity and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strongly diplomatic and capable of leading on difficult mediation and negotiations.
  • Solid programmatic, organizational planning and reporting skills.

 

Desirable

  • Bachelor Degree in, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar Humanities Degree.
  • Knowledge of ARD’s regulations and policies, and experience managing high-quality GCERF funded project(s).
  • Strong English language skills.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel, Word
